This is now the Second Draft of my Prohibition Era story. I have made some changes, especially early on to improve the story, update a character name, add a little more history, and eliminate some phasers—my name for Chekov’s gun that if it shows up in the first scene has to go off by the third. In all, I think some damn important improvements.
This is a historical fiction story based on an actual event but since much of the actual occurrence is unknown I have built a story around the event.
My inexperience with websites led me to include each chapter as a different page but I realized that was a poor way to provide a novel. I have now updated this to include a downloadable pdf of the complete book as it stands. As I continue to polish the story I will also update the file.

-Changed scene at Popp’s Ferry to include Taconi and Popp’s proper accent
-Changed Taconi’s name to Howell
-Fired Desperate from the City and “killed” his brother while adding in the second half of his payment
-Introduced Molly earlier in the story
Formatting for the complete work is a little off due to my Scrivener settings, I’ll fix that next time
